The hiss is mid-breath. Mouth wide, fangs bared, brow furrowed into deep shadow — a Bela Lugosi-style vampire in full tuxedo and bow tie, lit hard from the side so the white face flares almost cyan against the warm orange firelight blurring behind him.
Almost everything about the design is built on one contrast: cold corpse-blue skin against the sodium glow of distant lamps. The black hair, black tuxedo, and black collar disappear into the background, which leaves the face floating forward like a mask.
A high-drama portrait that rewards a confident hand on the shadows. Push the under-eye sockets and cheekbone hollows dark; let the firelight bleed warmer than feels comfortable. The mood does the rest.
