Vintage Deep Sea Diver

A vintage deep sea diver stands below the surface in his classic brass hard hat and heavy canvas suit, round porthole lenses facing the viewer and a crossed grate window on the side of the helmet. A thick air hose coils up from his back and around his shoulder, trailing off into the water, and bubbles drift up toward the shimmering surface above. Pops of pink, orange, and teal paint flecks dot the helmet and chest plate like weathered rust and sea growth.

Above him, the ocean surface ripples with pale cyan reflections of the sunlight, and the water deepens to rich teal and midnight blue around his shoulders. A moody underwater palette built on warm brass and canvas tones against cool teal and sapphire water. Bold shapes and clean color boundaries make for a satisfying color-blocking session, with plenty of finer detail moments in the helmet rivets, porthole shine, hose coils, drifting bubbles, and rippling surface light to finish on.
