Egyptian Mummy in a Tomb
Undead mummy wrapped in decayed bandages with hollow gaze, ancient pillars behind.
There is no green here, no neon, no cartoon shorthand for monster. The mummy is rendered straight — half-skull, half-wrapped, eye sockets pure black, the cloth bindings draped across the brow and crossed over the chest. Hieroglyph-painted columns flank the figure on both sides.
The palette is essentially sand: bone white wrappings, ochre stone, the deep brown of the tomb behind. Almost no saturated color anywhere. The work is in the fabric folds and the column carvings; the mood is closer to museum lighting than haunted house.
