A gorilla stares down out of a magenta-and-cobalt cloud, a horse rears in orange and indigo, a bobcat blazes through electric stripes, and a moose turns its head against a green-aurora field. Same chromatic vocabulary as Volume I — splatters, complementary clashes, black voids — but applied to a weirder lineup of subjects.
The horse and moose pieces are the most experimental of the bunch; the gorilla is the most classically composed. Eight separate pages, all built to be colored loose rather than precise.
