Plague Doctor with Skull Staff

182329485464

Plague doctor with glowing lenses and a staff emerging from orange light and purple shadows.

Plague doctor as gig poster. The figure stands centered against a swirling orange-and-purple psychedelic backdrop — burnt sienna sun behind the head, violet filigree curling through the corners. The mask is the long-beaked white classic, the hat brim wide and curving, a staff topped with a small bird-skull held in one gloved hand.

The palette is unusually bold for the subject: hot orange, deep eggplant, teal robe highlights, bone white. Less historical reenactment, more rock-album cover. A piece for colorists who want to push the contrast hard rather than play it Victorian-somber.

Plenty of decorative line work in the swirling background to anchor the figure. Worth treating the negative space as part of the design rather than as filler.
