Mossy Cottage with Shamrocks

For the kind of evening when you want to settle into something dense and green for two or three hours. A moss-thatched cottage stands in deep forest light, smoke curling from a stone chimney, lantern glowing beside an arched green door, oversized shamrocks pushing up from the path.

The whole illustration is essentially a study in greens — moss roof, leaf canopy, painted shutters, clover — broken up by the warm browns of the timber framing and the buttery yellow of the lit windows. That's the puzzle: keeping the greens distinct enough that the cottage doesn't dissolve into the forest.

Stepping stones lead the eye in from the lower right. Atmospheric work, not portrait work — the mood is the point.
