Victorian Church on an Autumn Lane

What does a small American village look like in the third week of October? Like this. A Victorian house with a steep red roof and a slim spire dominates the left side; a stone-flagged path covered in fallen leaves runs through the center; an enormous oak in deep rust takes the right.

The palette leans heavily into warm earth tones — terracotta roofs, ochre leaves, weathered gray stone — with just a strip of pale blue sky at the top to keep the whole thing from collapsing into orange. The leaf-strewn path alone is a long quiet stretch of close-value oranges and browns.
