Sugar Skull Ofrenda with Roses

122436486072

Decorated sugar skull on an Ofrenda among candles and roses in vibrant reds, oranges, and blues.

Wax, wax-light, marigold petals, and one painted skull in the middle of all of it. The calavera fills the upper half of the frame, ringed by tall candles, dark roses, and pink blooms, with a teal smoke-curl drifting along the top edge.

The skull itself is the busiest part — folk-art florals across the crown, scrollwork down the cheekbones, every tooth detailed, every eye-socket framed in petal-fringe. Saturated reds, oranges, magentas, deep teals, mustard yellow.

Best for colorists who like decorative density and don't mind committing to a high-contrast palette. The negative space (those black eye sockets, the dark background) is what holds the whole piece together — keep it dark on purpose.
